Malena Suarez was born in Mendoza, Argentina, she immigrated to the United States at an early age and lived many years undocumented before becoming a resident. Malena’s passion for immigration stems from her own experience as a Latina immigrant, and her devotion to supporting her community.
Before transferring colleges, Malena was a student at SUNY Oneonta where she pioneered the “Make SUNY Oneonta a Sanctuary Campus” amidst the uncertainty undocumented folks faced after the election of 2016. She has since graduated Stony Brook University and wishes to attend law school so she can one day become an Immigration Attorney.
Malena works on a variety of cases at the Terezakis Law Firm, such as family-based petitions, I-601A waivers and Adjustment of Status cases. She specializes in Removal Defense, with a focus in Asylum cases.
